diplomatic/soft way of saying ' really disrespectful' - used, for example, to defend something someone you like/feel loyal to said or insincere way of insinuating something is disrespectful when, really, it isn't - often used when taking offense in someone else's place or genuinely very close to being disrespectful - to the extent, that although it isn't clearly disrespectful, you wouldn't be surprised if someone having a bad day were to get offended about it.
