Jogurtu ielej sietā, kurā ieklāts papīra dvielis, atstāj uz ~2h, lai uzsūcas liekais ūdens. Jogurtu pārvieto bļodā, pievieno smalki sarīvētu gurķi (pirms tam nomizo, pēc sarīvēšanas atbrīvo no liekā šķidruma), sasmalcinātas ķiplokdaiviņas, dilles, eļļu, sāli, rūpīgi samaisa. Apklāj un atstāj vēsā vietā.
Tzatziki Sauce 2 cups plain Greek yogurt (I used Chobani 0%) 1 cup diced seedless cucumber 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice 2 garlic cloves, minced 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill Salt and pepper, to taste
1. In a medium bowl, combine Greek yogurt, cucumber, lemon juice, garlic, and dill. Stir until well combined. Taste and season with salt and pepper. If you have time, chill before serving.
Makes about 3 cups
*Note-Serve with vegetables, pita bread, crackers, falafel, meat/fish, souvlaki, or gyros. Will keep in the refrigerator 2-3 days. Stir before serving.
2 6oz containers of plain non fat Greek style yogurt 1/2 English cucumber, shredded and squeezed dry 1/4 teaspoon dried dill 3 cloves of garlic, minced or pressed in garlic press (amount of garlic up to you, I like my tzatziki garlicky, so adjust to your liking) 1 teaspoon fresh squeezed lemon juice good pinches of salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and chill. Taste for salt and pepper and adjust if necessary.
Store in airtight container in fridge for 3-5 days. Stir well before serving.
