Our lives are already good. Jump in the cognitive quantity wont make 'em more good just more ''more''. As a consequence there will be both more nice and shitty stuff to deal with. Proportion will NEVER change.

Even if so (I strongly doubt the truth of your last sentence), having more of a good thing is also "better", especially when the thing in question is universally applicable. Even a purely quantitative improvement can go a very long way.
