Attiecībā uz to, kāpēc Eiropa nepērk neko daudz amīšu auto, jāsaka, ka ne jau tarifi pie vainas, bet tas, ka lielākā daļa amīšu auto ir salīdzinoši milzīgu dzinēju un degvielas patēriņu. Ņemot vērā, ka Eiropā degviela ir daudz dārgāka, un eiropieši kā tādi nav tik bagāti, būtu dīvaini, ja viņi masveidā izvēlētos amerikāņu auto. Turklāt, protams, liela daļa no Eiropas ir ar ceļiem, pa kuriem ar lieliem auto grūti pabraukt.

Izņēmums ir Forda mazie modeļi: Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta. Tos arī pērk Eiropā. Bet arī tur viņi ne pārāk labi sacenšas ar korejiešu mazauto, kuriem Eiropa pielieto tādus pašus tarifus kā ASV...
