TNGHT is the duo of Hudson Mohawke and Montreal beatsmith Lunice—an intuitive pairing, given the musicians' mutual fondness for trance-dusted trap music. Their debut recording, a split release between Warp and LuckyMe, is a short EP—five tracks long, it only clocks in at 16 minutes total—but it packs plenty of punch. After the two-minute "Top Floor," which sounds like a ghoulish fusion of boom-bap and Dead Can Dance, they explode into full-on rave mode with "Goooo." With a keening, 8-bit lead, chanted whoops, death-spiral snare rolls and gabber-grade supersaws, it arrives like a low-rider plowing through the brostep tent.
Upping the tempo to 160 beats per minute, "Higher Ground" feels like a fusion of juke and Southern bounce. Looped vocals and insistent claps play against rickety triplet rhythms and half-time swagger, with action-flick trombones pushing things to the brink. With "Bugg'n," they bust out a kind of half-speed grime, with pots-and-pans percussion and liquid bleeps that draw a line from Wiley's "Ice Rink" to Drexciya's underwater dominion. "Easy Easy" is similar: slow, spacious and profoundly fucked up, with gun-cocks and smashing glass punctuating what sounds like a chorus of delirious car alarms. It's a boisterous, bruising record, yet nimble where it counts, and way more clever than your average thuggish bombast. |

Rolling Blackouts’ is the group’s third full-length and features
vocal contributions from Deerhoof’s Satomi Matsuzaki and Best Coast’s
Bethany Cosentino as well as another bevy of sample-infused pop.
“I have a love-hate relationship with pop music,” Go! Team’s
mastermind Ian Parton tells Spinner. “I’m obsessed with melody and
catchiness, but I’m not interested in chart-topping aspirations, just
having a good feel about something. When a song’s too poppy, I feel
slightly guilty. I try to put some sort of barrier around it that says,
‘We’re not trying to be a pop band.’”
While the new songs retain certain elements of the band's earlier work, Parton also experimented with a new style. "Some of the songs have a pure, '60s jangly, almost Strawberry Alarm Clock/Byrds feel to them," Parton says. "I was trying to make it genuinely eclectic but without consciously [doing] so. I'm generally torn every day about what my favorite type of music is. ['Rolling Blackouts'] reflects that -- getting torn between all these different things.

The feathers represent the peace, and the helmet represents the war. It's like where we are right now. There's a lot of war, that people can't necessarily explain. The economy sucks, girls are still beautiful. We wanted to make music that reflected that. So people can look back twenty years from now, and say 'this is what was going on'."

This is the solo debut from Madlib's (Madvillain, Lootpack) alter ego Quasimoto off the underground label Stones Throw (MF DOOM, Oh No, Lootpack, Peanut Butter Wolf, etc.). This is one of my all-time favorite albums, and one ofthe best produced albums ever made. It may be a little hard for some people new to the underground to get into. But once you get used to it, I guarantee you'll end up loving this album as much as I do. If you don't like it on the first listen, give it a few more chances, and it will grow on you like crazy. And yes, RJ is singing again; but unlike 2007’s self-indulgent The Third Hand, here he wisely picks his spots, chirping a few modest ditties. Four albums deep, he’s found his comfort zone.

bija VISS. Pilnigi viss jeeluma sakopojums, kaadu varam iedomaaties.
Pārsaldināts līdz sīrupa esencei. Un cilvēkiem patīk.
Tad sekoja Jay-Z un Beyonce. Tāds viegls porņuks kur mēs varējām iečekot Beynoce labumus.
Man besī tie, kas klausās hiphopu, vazājas pa ielu ar bandanām, skūtiem
pauriem, nenormāli krāsainām drēbēm, basketbola šūziem ar cinisku
skatienu sejā un domā, ka ir baisie raimeri.
Mani kretinē tie zīmuļi baltās biksēs, pārsēdējušies solārijā ar želeju
tumši krāsotos matos iekš Pulveža, kuriem patīk hiphops jo 'tur ir
smukas beibes'.
Man besī 'smukās beibes', kas pie katra hīta šeiko ēsus un tresī ļeškas. Un principā meklē bagātu ārzemju vai vieteejo pimpi, kam uzsēsties un slotu sev dzīvi nopelnīt.
Mani kretīnē 50x sasveicināties ar kaut kādiem redzētiem čomiem, ar
kuriem es nekad neesmu runaajis un nezinu kaa vinjus sauc sakot 'yo meen' un profesionāli kratīt galvas, kad es uz iisu briidi ieeju pie saviem hipop paziņām kādā no klubiem.
Man besī tas kā notiek hiphop konči, kur cilvēki, kas dzīvē ir normāli,
pēķšņi pieņem kaut kādus skatuves tēlus, maina balsi, kustības un
pasniedz sevi 'maksimāli kruti'.
Vēl man smieklīgi liekas kā hiphops tagad ir iebāzts vienā maisā ar
r'n'b. Ok, rnb un soul pats par sevi ir ļoti skaists muzons, tur
parasti tiek demonstreeta augsta vokaalaa meistariiba un laba skanja.
Bet taa nēģeru mentalitāte un sexa kults tajā vienkārši.. jau sēž man
aknās. Katrā r'n'b video ir kāda 'bijusī', esošām, nākošā, degošas
gultas un palmas, uguņošana, skaiti skati, 'sexīgas acis', grupu vai
solo dejas, nenormāli bieza dzīve, dargas mašīnas un biezas zelta
ķēdes, minimālas kleitiņas un svaigi krūšu implanti. "Mēs esam kruti/as
un ejam sar saviem draugiem klubaa tuseet, visi par mums visi iefano"
kadrs.
Reperi/singeri ir galēji 1)jūtīgi un emocionālu sāpināti skaistuļi
2)Neglīti bet kruti nigeri ar biezām lūpām un sarauktām uzacīm, normālu prikidu un visnotaļ mega-respektu apkārtējo vidū.

vinju liek klausiities. Visur. TV, radio, veikalaa un nu labu laiku ari
visaados citos muuzika stilos.
