EVERY TANGIBLE THING IN EXISTENCE, EVERY PROCESS, AND EVERY EXPERIENCE CAN BE EXPRESSED BY NUMBERS, LETTERS, SYMBOLS, AND COMBINATIONS OR VARIATIONS THEREOF. NOW SUPPOSE THAT SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINES THE CREATOR ITSELF BECOMES ALIENATED FROM ONE'S OWN CREATION AND FAILS TO PROVIDE A MEANINGFUL SOLUTION TO ANY EQUATION OF REALITY. WOULD THAT NOT RENDER ALL INQUIRY INTO THE NATURE OF THE UNIVERSAL PUZZLE FUNDAMENTALLY FUTILE? NOW SUPPOSE THE CREATOR THEN NEEDED A CLEANSING, A NEW MATRIX, A REFORMATTING OF BEING ITSELF... A PURGE: TO BEGIN ANEW, OR TO GO ON, WITH A NEW SET OF RULES IN MOTION. "PURGE" NEITHER QUESTIONS, NOR ANSWERS, NOR DEFINES. IT SERVES A FUNCTION. JUST AS EVERYTHING ELSE, EVERY TANGIBLE THING IN EXISTENCE, EVERY PROCESS AND EVERY EXPERIENCE, IT MAY BE EXPRESSED BY NUMBERS, LETTERS, SYMBOLS, AND COMBINATIONS THEREOF. SUPPOSE THAT SOMEWHERE ALONG THE LINES THE CREATOR ITSELF BECOMES ALIENATED FROM ONE'S OWN CREATION AND FAILS TO PROVIDE A MEANINGFUL SOLUTION TO ANY EQUASION OF REALITY. “Intent is not a thought, or an object, or a wish. Intent is what can make a man succeed when his thoughts tell him that he is defeated. It operates in spite of the warrior’s indulgence. Intent is what makes him invulnerable. Intent is what sends a shaman through a wall, through space, to infinity.”

If I could go back in time though, and murder my pride... I would not

The person with a secular mentality feels himself to be the center of the universe. Yet he is likely to suffer from a sense of meaninglessness and insignificance because he knows he’s but one human among five billion others — all feeling themselves to be the center of things — scratching out an existence on the surface of a medium-sized planet circling a small star among countless stars in a galaxy lost among countless galaxies.

The person with the sacred mentality, on the other hand, does not feel herself to be the center of the universe. She considers the Center to be elsewhere and other. Yet she is unlikely to feel lost or insignificant precisely because she draws her significance and meaning from her relationship, her connection, with that center, that Other.
