tādā ziņā, jā, bet vai nav līdzīgi kā hokejā, ka ar slidu var spēlēt ripu kā vien gribās, bet vārtus gūt nevar?

nē, tā nav. ja ar kādu ķermeņa daļu drīkst spēlēt, tad arī vārtus gūt tā drīkst.
