Completely misleading headline, deliberate disinformation e.g. that is relative to 2016 and not considering the types of crimes. The statistics actually show that violent crime has increased relative to the time before the Great Enrichment of 2015.
Furthermore they actually prove the xenophobes right in a spectacular way: The about 10 million people in Germany who aren't even German citizens committed 1,140 homicides, while the 70 million people who are German citizens committed 1,558. Talk about massive over-representation of those "seeking protection".
