But we're talking about the potential quality of the translation. Can you prove that the quality of the translation depends on the average translators' wage for a given language?

... So money doesn't enter the picture. All that matters is the size of the pool of available translators which is obviously larger for English. Tthe absolute number of elite translators is larger for English, thus translations to English are better on average.

Self rebuttal: but the amount of translations needed is also proportionally larger.
