UV radiation from sunbeds, particularly UVB, may cause cancer by altering the structure of the DNA. UV radiation can cause premature aging, including wrinkles, and also can have a detrimental effect on the immune system.
Because of several adverse effects to the human health, the World Health Organization does not recommend the use of UV tanning devices for cosmetic reasons.
