kā jūs tulkotu pēdējos gados tik nodrāzto aforismu "History does not repeat itself, but it rhymes", ko parasti piedēvē Markam Tvenam?
1) Vēsture neatkārtojas, bet tā rīmējas.
2) Vēsture neatkārtojas, bet tai ir atskaņas.
(Cik ļoti man patīk abu LV versiju saturiskā atšķirība!)
3) Ir citi varianti.

Tas jau ir labskanības (stila), nevis satura jautājums, ne. Iztēlojos, kā daži profesionāļi aizstāvētu "rīmējas", jo tas, savukārt, atbilstu latviešu valodai Tvena laikmetā. Bet ne par to ir mans jautājums, bet tieši par konotāciju.
