829 hate crimes against Swedish churches - TV4 blames "right-wing extremists" although all evidence points to immigrants

DOMESTIC. Between 2012-2018, more than 800 new so-called hate crimes against churches in Sweden were reported, TV4 Nyheterna reports. There are almost 140 applications per year. TV4 claims that it is the mentally ill and right-wing extremists who are behind the attacks.
Last year, there were a number of attacks on Christian churches in Sweden. Among other things, violent immigrants tried to set fire to the church in Ronneby.
In December, 300 graves were overturned at the Northern Cemetery in Solna.
As recently as last week, Spånga's thousand - year - old church was attacked with firebombs. The church is close to ghettos such as Rinkeby, Tensta and Kista.
- "I'm terribly pissed. This is an attack on the whole area. It is also an attack on the Swedish cultural heritage and an attack on religion and Christianity", says Socialdemocrat-Member of Parliament Anders Österberg to TV4 Nyheterna about the incident in Spånga.
Who is behind the attack is still unclear.
Between 2012-2018, 829 hate crimes against churches in Sweden were reported. This corresponds to 138 applications per year.

Government's new plan: "Teach" immigrants that violence is wrong

DOMESTIC. The government has decided that all asylum seekers who come to Sweden in the future will undergo a mandatory social introduction during the time of arrival. Among other things, they must be informed that it is forbidden with such things as honor violence, genital mutilation, child marriage and abusing wife and children.
The Government has now decided to give the Swedish Migration Agency the task of preparing for the introduction of the compulsory introduction to society by 1 October this year.
The introduction to society will, in addition to basic information about the asylum process, also contain information about Swedish legislation and "democracy, norms and values", according to the government. This includes information on the rules that apply to "honor-related violence and oppression as well as protection against discrimination and abusive discrimination".
According to the government's previous assignment to the Swedish Migration Agency, information must also be provided on what applies to "polygamy, female genital mutilation, child marriage and racism (such as anti-Semitism, afrophobia, Islamophobia) and similar forms of hostility".
- All asylum seekers staying in this country must know what rights and obligations apply and what life here looks like. The introduction to society must be part of the asylum process and it must function as a natural start to a chain of establishment-promoting initiatives given to asylum seekers in Sweden, says Minister of Justice and Migration Morgan Johansson (S) in a press release.
According to the government, the introduction must, as a starting point, be given orally on site at the Swedish Migration Agency's premises, but can be combined with, among other things, digital self-study. The starting point should be "that women and men should have equal opportunities to be able to participate".
The assignment will be presented on April 28 this year. An evaluation of the provision of the social introduction will take place in 2023.
The introduction to society is a result of the so-called January agreement between the governing parties, the Center Party and the Liberals.
