It is against freedom to be taxed. It is against freedom not to be allowed to shoot people when they disagree with you. Property is against freedom, since you might want to be the sole owner. It is against freedom to be part of a society where rules govern your actions. Ad nauseam. Rules are against freedom! Strangely enough, very few (reasonable) people want total freedom. The cost of total freedom is not being part of a society. We are willing to give up same freedoms that we would want other people to give up. Don't forget this minutiae detail next time you are about to discuss your damned rights.
