Ir patīkami redzēt, ka studenti pievēršas “jaunajai” glezniecības valodai un ļauj visiem Grūbēm un Heinrihsoniem līdz pēdējam krāsas ekspresijā ieķepušajam matam izkopt savu “veco” valodu. Tomēr šī izstāde – gan telpas, gan darbu dēļ – nepārliecina. Jāstrādā.

It is reassuring to see students turning to the “new” language in painting, leaving all the Grūbes and the Heinrihsonses of this country to pursue their “old” language to the last hair trapped under the expressive brushwork. Nevertheless – both because of space and the works themselves – the show is not compelling. Work in progress.
