Izglītības un atmiņas robi liek meklēt pēc palīdzības...

Kā sauc pils mūru augšējo roboto daļu - cik atminos, tai bija speciāls nosaukums.

neputro :) merlons ir viena no sastāvdaļām.

bet vispār velk uz to, ka latviski to mierīgi var saukt par parapetu, ja reiz angliski tas ir sinonīms battlementam.

I thought I knew this one from the context, and looked it up and discovered that I was right. A merlon is any of the solid intervals between crenellations of a battlement.

Battlement - parapet (portion above the roof) of the exterior wall of a fortification, consisting of alternating low portions (crenels) and high portions (merlons).
attiecīgi bez krenela nav merlona, un zobaino konstrukciju veido tie abi kopā.
