It sounds like maturity but also how Jung thought of wholeness and the individuation process - understanding yourself through thinking of yourself in terms of the past and becoming aware of things and thoughts that perhaps are not the most pleasant but being able to endure them enough anyway to not push them away. That's also how I view these days a path towards adulthood, being able to take all into account and let the paradoxes coexist, not only having some sort of flash of insight or enforced belief/positivity.
