you misunderstood. there is no consensus on positions of S&D & Greens. I'm sharing deeply personal and actually even unlawful observations, man. Gained in close working relationships, many beers and lunches and dinners together. With highly educated and deeply intelligent people from all over the EU; sceptical lefties, hard-rock and football fans in their hearts, as most of us are ex-journalists. The common work position is a-political, as long as it's possible, as we are being paid to work in the interests of our employer. just like any full time employed person is.
And there is not so much exitement about the technocrats btw. The rise of technocrat gvts in the EU was seen as the necessary evil in the aftermath of financial crisis. S&D & Green positions are quite critical of bureaucracy. It's the EPP who are the technocrats and I can say, our hearts are not with them. I had one colleague who was more believer in this approach and others were smiling a bit behind his back.
