You will see things in the right perspective. I would always suggest brilliant nature walks to explore the Himalayan villages that exist nearby. This is one of my favorite places. The people in the neighborhood are so friendly. You would be traveling through very remote parts of the world, and, the people here seldom see any western people. They are so happy to meet you and know you. They will invite you to their homes. In fact I will suggest that you do visit some ladakhi homes. I will arrange for this. Not only the hospitality, but, the Ladakhi kitchen is so beautiful and so unique. The kitchen and the walls are beautifully decorated and the entire family sits on cushions on the floor around the wall having food together. Oh yes, do not forget to enjoy the famous Ladakhi chai (tea).
