Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
I play board games with a couple of guys who are typically pretty cool (willing to sit down and play a 2-4 hour strategy game), but they all bought into covid hook, line and sinker.

All got vaxxed. One of their wives developed an auto-immune disorder—no previous history and last I heard “unexplained”. They’re still getting vaxxed and their household has had covid multiple times, just again last weekend (she leaves when someone else catches it).

I don’t know if the auto-immune disorder was related to the vaxx (though I’ve read about the suggested causal link), but I think the cognitive dissonance is too strong for them to even consider it; she almost died, lost her job and has to be hooked up to a machine (possibly for the rest of her life).

The only positive thing about it is that my wife is starting to see the patterns (e.g. our vaccinated friends get covid more often and tend to get sicker than us). She went from “you’re usually right but I hate this” to “you’re probably right and I’m glad we’re not sick, dying or damaged”. Still hard for her not being able to see her family and not “following the rules and expectations” of society.
