Today nursing home operators in Germany confirmed what I said when Austria introduced the mandatory vaccination mandate for everyone instead of just the health care workers, as they initially planned. It is meant to force health care workers to stay in their jobs and not quit.
In Germany, for now, they only have the mandate for health care workers and those are resigning in noticeable numbers. But the operators see them as slaves, which shouldn't have the right to resign, so they demand a general vaccination mandate that those people can't just quit their job, and they say it openly ("It would prevent that people quit their jobs to escape the vaccine mandate").
