It is Gustav Vasa school in Stockholm that has had a recurring problem with the sandbox being used as a toilet.
But not by school children, but by EU migrants who sleep at school.
The school yard is already guarded by security guards to keep the unwelcome guests away. Every time they slept in the school yard, the sandbox had to be cleaned. But the school is tired of the problem.
- "It has happened that EU migrants have lived in the school yard and are polluted, so now we must take action", says Board Chairman of Skolfastigheter i Stockholm AB (SISAB), Peter Jönsson, to Mitt i.
Lights will now also be set up and parts of the school yard are getting fenced off. Everything to keep these outsiders away. Already on Monday, a fence should be in place and the sandbox will be tidy and clean.
However, Gustav Vasa school is not the only school affected by human faeces in sandboxes. Peter Jönsson explains to Mitt that the problem of EU migrants is "nothing new but going on all over the city ever since they where allowed to come here".
According to the newspaper, "the filth" is going on in Stockholm's inner city and parents are enraged at the people that pooped on the children's school yards, says another article. Also at the Health Well's preschool in expensive Vasastan, where there are 3-year-olds, outsiders camp overnight and leave garbage and poop when they leave. The preschool is forced to clean up the school yard "every morning". Parents are very angry and find it unpleasant to leave their children, some parents have even threatened violence against the outsiders.
