DOMESTIC. There is an ongoing ethnic war between Albanians and Afghans in the Skåne municipality Hörby, reports Kvällsposten newspaper on Friday. Conflicts revolve around drug sales, violent crime and jealousy crime. Soon it will hit properly, says an alarmed swedish inhabitant to the newspaper.
According to Kvällsposten, the battle is about Stora torg in Hörby, where there is open drug sales and the insecurity is great.
The conflict is between newly arrived Afghan immigrants and second generation Albanians.
Near the square is a asylum home for so-called "unaccompanied refugee children" from Afghanistan. According to the Evening Post there are many citizens in Hörby who consider that they are the only ones who brought trouble and insecurity to the town.
The Albanians have, among other things, stopped Afghan youths from visiting one of the municipal activity houses.
When an young Albanian boy was killed in the beginning of the summer, an Afghan unaccompanied youth was accused of the murder and the asylum home where the Afghans live was stormed by about 50 Albanians. The majority of those who went to attack the asylum home were Kosovo Albanians, writes Kvällsposten. They have threatened to burn down the house and kill all Afghans inside, no matter their age.
When Malmö's Policeforce arrived to the scene, they passed the albanian mob, kicked in the door to the asylum home and drew weapons against the unaccompanied immigrants and searched their housings. But they found no-one directly guilty of the knife murder, even though some evidence where claimed to have been secured.
- "Soon it will hit, total race war in our streets. Totally guaranteed. Afghans do not dare to go outside anymore. The Albanians keep an eye on them and guard them. They want to kill them all by hanging them from the lamp-posts" says local Hörby citizen Shkelzen Kuci to KvP.
According to the municipal police chief Niklas Årcén, the fight between first and second-generation Albanian and Afghan immigrants in Hörby has been going on for a year and a half.
Hörby Municipality has also had problems with other asylum homes, including a home where the Islamic staff tried to radicalize their residents.
