Nerds
Being a nerd usually means, that a person knows something better than others and does not know all other things. Sort of fatal specialization. This in turn means people will envy nerd because of his or her superabilities and despise nerd because of nerds' ignorance in other (boring) fields of life (like hockey events, alcohol brands, celebrity lives, soap opera, top tens, 'what neighbor does' and other actually useless stuff).

Usually nerds spend their whole life looking for other nerds.

The thing is, that somebody becomes a nerd just to look for somebody else like him or her. The necessity to separate oneself from the gray crowd.
