“This glass is stationary and here at this point,” he says, pointing to the beer glass. “That makes complete common sense, but the problem is we don’t see the subatomic world. At the level of atoms or smaller objects, the attribute of a given position and velocity are not measurable simultaneously; the more certain you are of where something is, the less certain you are of its velocity.”
