I want to talk about predators in school system. In Europe, Latvia, where I live and work we have a law that primary education is obligatory. You can't expel a kid for bad behavior anymore. So during this year I have got to know two cases.

One - a 7th grader was disrupting the class by walking in classroom. He also talked over teacher and didn't obey anyone. He is 13 years old and also has a criminal record for using pepper spray just to piss people off and see their reaction when they are in pain. One day he had a particularly bad day and decided to throw things into his math teacher's face. Math teacher gave dean an ultimatum that she will quit the job if she isn't given a different class. This teacher had worked there for 2 years already before meeting this predator, so she had a ground to base her ultimatum on. Dean complied. But the boy will continue to terrorize his next teacher.

In another school, same area, there is a 5th grader, also a boy, who loves to mock his English class teachers. Maybe he doesn't like English as a language, maybe he mocks any young woman teacher.

Anyway, my friend's daughter is in the same class as him and says her English teachers quit the job 3 times per year. So it seems this predator is very successful at terrorizing young teachers. The girl says that the result is that whole class has bad marks in several subjects, because teachers get bullied by this boy and while school searches for next teacher, they have no teacher at all.

Some examples of his (11 year old boy) verbal abuse "You look especially fat today, Ms. Sunshine, did you have a birthday yesterday?" "You don't know how to teach, do you even have children yourself?" etc.

In this case, the teachers don't have ground/power for ultimatums so they just leave, because admins expect them to be psychiatry specialists and deal with the boy.

Conclusion is clear - although there is a child diagnosis of Callous-unemotional traits, not enough children are given it. And there are no measures to take if the bullying is emotional. We have had cases in Latvia where teachers get stabbed by schizophrenic children and then they can be made to move schools, but I'm talking strictly about verbal abuse of teacher in both cases.
