Es esmu pirmo reizē bibliotēkā kopš mes-visi-nomirsim.
bultiņas uz gridas/sargs bez humora/ir jāreservē galds/darbiniekien aiz stikla garlaicīgi skatās uz saviem telefoniem.
Mēklēju vārdu... nezinu, kā šo visu aprakstīt.. pat angliski (esmu anglis), hypertechnochondriac.. ish? Nē, neder.. padomāšu, tikai zinu šo: ja šī ir nākotnē, ko teicamniekiem ir prātā, tad es pieklājīgi aicinu viņus to do one. |

Whilst it’s a sad truth that much of our city and nation’s wealth was derived from the slave trade - this does not have to be celebrated in our public spaces.
Gerard Batten: Islam was established by a slave trader (and worse). The slave trade was a fundamental part of the wealth of the Islamic world until the Royal Navy stamped out the intl trade. It still exists in some places.

Runāju ar Luke (vecu draugu) vakar: Mēs varam runāt visu dienu un visu naktu. Pirms viņš saslima, mēs (kad biju atbraucis dzimtenē) dotos ap 20:00 un iet pastaigāties uz juru (divas stundas), garu juru un atpakaļ ap 2:00, Not bad for middle-aged men.

Bija jauki: liesmas tasni stiepās augšā, mēness fonā. Tas varētu kaut ko nozīmē - kā interpunkcija vismaz (nākāma dienā bija jāpļauj zāli). Man patik svinēt Nov 5 arī, kad visas lapas ir nokritušas.
Atbildēju uz meitas jautājumiem ar apgalvojumu, ka viņas senči arī būtu atzīmējuši šo periodu ar ugunskuriem, bet - protams es nezinu.
Vai tagad tie pagan dievi atgrieztos ar i-phone?

Vispār man ir daudz ko teikt, bet mana sieva (kas ir viedāka un gudrāka nekā biju domājis pirms "the invisible enemy") ieteica aizvērties/paklusēt.
Ir skaidrs (vismaz aptuveni), kas mums gaida, un vienkārši ir jācenšas gatavoties tam.
Daudz no latviešiem to dara, un tas ir apsveicami - kā teicu vakar meitai:
