Sadiq Kahan: The statue of slave trader Robert Milligan is being removed from West India Quay.
Whilst it’s a sad truth that much of our city and nation’s wealth was derived from the slave trade - this does not have to be celebrated in our public spaces.

Gerard Batten: Islam was established by a slave trader (and worse). The slave trade was a fundamental part of the wealth of the Islamic world until the Royal Navy stamped out the intl trade. It still exists in some places.

Is Mayor Khan going to tear down the mosques in London?
