vecos laikos laikam esot teikuši – zieds. (no kā arī ziedojums)
upurjērs, varbūt, šai gadījumā, lai uzsvērtu atšķirību (sacrifice nevis victim).

Viennozīmīga vārda, kurš būtu arī ikdienas lietojumā visiem saprotams, nav. Upurāži un upurjēri ir jau tā diezgan poētiski. Es to risinātu mainot konstrukciju uz "viņa tika upurēta".
