"I think that the Recession will shape my generation permanently in its attitudes and mindset. If you look at hobbies and interests that are becoming popular - DIY, gardening, canning, homebrewing- these were the same activities popular among our great-grandparents, coming of age during the Great Depression. In the best-case scenario, the Millenials could be like their great-grandparents, the Greatest Generation, and tackle the modern day issues of federal debt and deficit, environmental conservation, urban sprawl, energy, infrastructure repair, and technology. I for one, am hopeful."
