Kurš ir izcilākais Kembridžas filozofs?
The evening of the first day of the
Alumni Weekend last September saw
the Faculty mounting a light-hearted
debate: who was Cambridge’s
greatest philosopher? We had
selected four candidates: Ludwig
Wittgenstein was sponsored by Jane
Heal, Bertrand Russell by Arif
Ahmed, Frank Ramsey by Hugh
Mellor, and Francis Bacon by myself [Simon Blackburn]
[...]
Somewhat to everyone’s surprise,
Bacon romped home, with something
over 90 votes, beating Ramsey (41)
and Russell (40) with poor Wittgenstein
(25) trailing the field.
