How I would explain it in English to someone from home [Aug. 15th, 2021|09:34 pm]

Clif High is a wild entertaining guy with his talk of Woo and Overwoo. You can discount him for his craziness, but it is that width and height that probably helps him - and me to an extent - understand that about which our current aren't-we-nice (?) darlings haven't got a clue.

Šlesers is an utterly corrupt ex-oligarch, and most people understand that - at least the locals who I talk to. I never thought I would see him back. I thought he had lost about as much credibility as it was possible for one person to lose. Sure, it was over a decade ago when he didn't turn up to a TV studio (when TV studios were important) because like a dog, he knew what he had eaten. And sure, at the last, he let it be known he had something over Repše - made that guy's face go grey when he alluded to things he knew. So time and secrets meant he wasn't going to disappear completely.

But still.

He is back and at one with the Woo. Or, if you want a different analogy, he saw a great huge indignant beast of a horse and thought, "I can ride that mare." She has the power of furious women and recalcitrant men, but if he whispers and promises, she will let him mount and storm whatever miserable local fortress stands in his way. Maybe he will get a statue, firm and graceful like Milda when viewed from bastejkālns, with her masonic stars glinting in the sun, proud on the obelisk, like something from Gondor. Still and timeless as the clouds float by.

He launches his party on the same day as some arrogant, faux-intelligent dandy called Bondars told some

woman

that she will just have to forfeit privileges - like work.

He probably thought it was a good answer as he trotted off.

He hasn't got a clue what is coming. None of them have.

At least that is my current opinion.

Clif High is really interesting guy. I introduced him to myself on forumborealis channel on youutbe, where he talked about annunaki and that sort of primordial stuff. No matter how much of that is plausible, he is indeed wildly entertaining and thought provoking person. And merely pleasant to listen to.

Njā! Paldies, Doora! Es jau dzeru čaga tēju :)

I recommended him to my daughter. She liked the concept of woo: the known and unknown unknowns that have no interest in whether we are aware of them or not. A way of looking at enlightenment in our times.

Probably helps that he has already died once.

Yes, it is interesting to see how far things will go.

What is batshit crazy, is the fact, that if only the government (in the broadest terms, not only the Cabinet) had enough of competence at the initial vaccination stage, and respected the people it represents, it might have offset the worst of media craze. And indeed won some trust instead of losing much of what little it had.

And then, the vaccination _requirement_ would probably not be needed (as enough people would have been vaccinated of their own free will), or if it would be, it would be received on par with the existing ones -- for there are already existing mandatory vaccinations after all, and have been for a long long time.

As it is, the lack of trust in government is reflected in poor vaccination rates, and creation of opposite Just Causes within and without Officialdom (as per C.H.).

However, mind this. If you believe, as I do, that the government reflects the people, even if it doesn't represent them, then you would be quite skeptical about the idea that something is coming, if you meant that as some sort of internal uprising.
