today I got the first of 3 steroid injections directly into my inner ear canal. The ENT said it’s a great sign that some hearing has already come back. As for the cause, it’s still somewhat unknown. If this was related to the vaccine, then what the specialist believes happened is that I had a dormant virus in my ear, and it was somehow stirred up by receiving the moderna vaccine. This virus caused the inflammation and subsequent hearing loss I’ve been experiencing. I’m hoping to have some noticeable improvements after the first injection, but the ENT wants to hit it fast and hard with three injections total in a week.
