Teju šķiet, ka patumšā dūmaka ainavās varētu būt ne tikai estētika, bet padomju sistēmas “nepasakāmā” klātbūtne. Ja arī kosmonauti ir ietīti dūmakā, tad tas jau drīzāk būs izplatījuma patoss. Labāk arī nezināt, kas būtu noticis šai glezniecības izteiksmei nonākot kapitālisma apstākļos.
One could almost imagine the gloomy haze as being both a matter of aesthetic choice and a signifier of the Soviet “unspeakable”. If the spacemen are also enveloped in the same haze, that must be a sigh of universal pathos. And it is better not to know, what would’ve happened if this manner of expression had met capitalism.
