kā pareizi būtu tulkot Assertion.

Assertion - something that is held to be true, but which has not been, or cannot be, actually demonstrated to be true

pieņēmums, tēze, konjunktūra (šim barbarismam gan latviskais atveidojums ir nekorekts, skat en wiki, bet tas tomēr aiziet uz "minējums" oficiāli)
