Young Translators' Competition
The British Council Latvia is pleased to announce the Young Translators' Competition. The Competition is open to all Latvian residents under the age of 30. The winners will be announced at the end of April 2006.

The task is to translate John Williams’ short story Black Ceasar's from the book Five Pubs, Two Bars and a Nightclub from English into Latvian or Russian.

Prize
• The Prize for the winner is a one-week translation seminar in the UK.
• Five top authors of quality translations will be awarded book vouchers worth £80.
