If you bought Ericsson stocks for 100,000 kronor three years ago they would now be worth about 4,600 kronor. If you instead bought stocks from Song Networks, another telecommunication company, for the same 100,000 kronor you would only have 791 kronor worth of stocks today. However, if you were wise and went to the “bolaget” (the state controlled company for the sale of alcoholic beverages) and bought “starköl” (strong beer), drank them up, had a good time and today went to the store to get refund for the empty glass bottles you would get 6,741 kronor in return.
