aren't we left unfulfilled, longing for what we had originally hoped for? can we ever be free from desire?

yes, but at least we realize that what we 'thought' is what we hoped for is not what we actually hope for because it was disappointing, therefore we feel liberated from having something that we did not actually hope for.

i don't think we can ever be free from desire nope. kaa kaut kaads filozofs Emanuels teica to be alive is to desire.
