Eidōla
The eidōla only modifications of the mind itself, determined by the impressions (kinēsis) of the external something (tinos) on the organ of sense, as affected by them - pathos, pathēmata. N.B. - Sense (in mind) is not an alteration - affection - passion, but the recognition of it in the living organ of sense*.

* The remark of Galen. See De Plac. Hippocr. et Plat., L. vii. c 6, ed. Chart.
