Viens no visgrūtāk uztveramiem teikumu piemēriem, kādus līdz šim esmu redzējusi:

"The man the girl the boy met believed laughed".

Vēl viens šāds (reāls teikums no sporta pārraides):

"Lloyd kicked the ball kicked it".

(no "Articulate Mammal" by Jean Aitchison).

Pirmais tātad nozīmē
The man the girl and the boy met believed and laughed?

Nē. [The man [the girl [the boy met] believed] laughed].

T.i., the girl that the boy met believed the man who laughed.

Šādi teikumi daudz vieglāk ir uztverami tad, ja ir tikai divi sentoīdi, piem., "The man the girl believed laughed". Bet, pievienojot trešo, kļūst ļoti grūti uztvert nozīmi.
