Feminist strategies in the Art World.

Swedish artists and feminists Johanna Gustavsson and Lisa Nyberg will be in
Riga
on the 8th of May to talk about and discuss how art can be used as a
feminist
strategy. They will make a short presentation of their individual works and
also introduce their recent collaboration; Malmö Free University for Women
(MFK). MFK is an attempt to bring together different feminist organisations
and
to use art as platform to bridge the gap between political activism and
theoretical studies. They will also present an excusive selection of the
fiercest feminist actions in contemporary art. For your inspiration they
will
show works, posters, videos and music!
