Established since 1996 in London – Notting Hill, Carden Cunietti was born by a partnership between Audrey Carden and Eleanora Cunietti. Their interior design and work is renown around the world for dramatic, ecletic and luxurious style.

With their team, they have already designed numerous spaces in the UK, Europe and United States, by transforming buildings into stylish homes.

They are known for chic interiors both comfortable and stylish and for offering a complete interior design service checking all the installation stages of each project.

Known for listening to each costumers and understanding their needs and desires, they are capable of using luxurious materials and vintage pieces combined with the latest contemporary pieces that complete the rooms.

Curden Cunietti‘s website has an up to date Style Tips section were they present the latest tendencies on house designing.

They have been published in many magazines worldwide, such as House and Garden, Urban Electric, Times Magazine, Vogue and Elle Decoration.

Carden Cunietti was recently distinguished by the magazine Homes & Gardens has interior designers of the year. (see here)

The blog Decor&Style kindly asked them to give a little interview and received this amazing responses, that enlighten and inspire any design lover. Take a look:

How do you feel after receiving this award?

We were delighted to receive the award.  It’s great to have your creativity and hard work recognized by one’s peers.

What are your inspirations?

We find inspiration in lots of places;  fashion, art, magazines and web sites such as yours. We get fixated on colours that we love and foreign travel always sparks new ideas.

Jean-Louis Denoit, Thomas O’Brien, Muriel Brandolini

What is your favorite project and why?

The current project is usually the favourite as you are fully engaged in the creative process.

What’s your criteria for the products you choose to your designs? And where do you look for them?

The product should be fit for purpose and be aesthetically pleasing.  We source from all over the world, from suppliers as far afield as the Phillipines, the US and Japan.  We attend all the trade fairs, shop for antiques from 1^stDibs so our vintage pieces could come from Miami or San Francisco or Chicago and are constantly on the look out for new manufacturers.

How did your partnership started?

We were working individually as interior designers when Eleanora was approached to pitch for a large project and asked me to help.  We worked well together and discovered we had the same likes and dislikes and decided to join forces.

Can you describe us your day at the office?

I wouldn’t say there is a typical day which is part of the fun of being an interior designer.  We often attend site meetings first thing in the morning with the architect, contractor and any other members of the design team.  The client is often present at these meetings too.  When we are preparing for a presentation we work in our well stocked library pulling finishes, fabrics and furniture for schemes.  We present to our client in different ways… with mood boards or 3-D visuals and large samples.  A client presentation meeting runs for two or three hours generally. The most satisfying part of the job is when we install our projects…it’s so exciting unpacking all the furniture and seeing the design come to life and a house become a home!
