okay - not time to rakstiit latviski - this is for those uneducated few who have sufficient ego to ask what seem normal questions.
I now know what cycle thresholds are being used (approx) for PCR tests for SARS-Cov-2 in Latvia. I had to go to some lengths. When I have got time, I will write about it in shitty Latvian with all the arrogant conclusions of a horrible person.

And here is the relevant sentence:
Clinical specimens for sequencing should have an RT-PCR Ct value ≤28.
Which means that those over 28 aren't considered sufficiently reliable, presumably.
What do you reckon they are using here in LV? |

Jautājums:
Vai kāds zina, kāds "palielināšanas cikls" (magnification cycle) tiek izmantots PCR testos Latvijā? Es nevaru atrast informāciju (kaut arī atzīšos, ka diezgan virspusīgi meklēju).
Būšu ļoti pateicīgs, ja kāds zinšošs cilvēks var palīdzēt.
Kamēr esmu šeit, man vēl viens jautājums: Vai kāds zina, kā Latvijā tiek konstatēts, ka kāds ir miris no covida? Cik es saprotu, UK lēmums notiek šādi: ja kāds nomira 28 dienu laikā pec positīva testa, tad skaitās, kā Covid nāves. |

Biju centrā šodien - jaukāka un brīvāka gaisotne, vispār.
Par tiem plakātiem ar tiem iemesliem, tomēr, pamanīju, ka viņi tiešam tēmē uz jauniešiem.
Varbūt nav pārsteigums, ka daudzi jaunieši staigā ar masku ārā, pat tad kad viņi nav kopā ar citiem. |

Speaking of archetypes, the dog started barking at 01:00, so I got up and opened the front door to see my daughter talking to a guy at the garden gate.
I let the dog out so he could smell him out, and then stood there in my underwear for a slightly uncomfortable period of time.
Should have had a rifle half-cocked.

Cik daudz no jums, kas domā, ka aborts (vismaz) ir jābūt legāls, arī domā, ka nevajadzētu būt sankcijas* pret cilvēkiem, kas nevēlas potēties ar šīm vakcinēm pret Cvd?
*Piemēram, kā IR.lv nesen deva kā viens no variantiem aptaujā: Israela variants.
Nebūs diskucijas šeit, jo tēmas ir parāk sāpīgas un Cibniekiem, manuprāt vispār vajadzētu mazliet nomierināties. Tikai tas ir jautājums, ko es varbūt uzdotu, ja man būtu saruna ar kādu labu cilvēku. |

Nevaru īsti saprast kāpēc jauni racionāli cilvēki smejās par mītu, ka Gaits plano ielikt musu ķermeņos kādu čipu kopā ar vakcīnu. Jo, skatoties apkārt, man liekās, ka ir diezgan skaidrs, ka šie paši racionālie cilvēki būtu gatavi pieņemt čipošanu, ja tas nozimētu, ka viņi varētu atkāl dejot klubos Berlinē vai Tehranā. Varētu arī maksāt par ieejas biļeti ar to čipu. Cik sasodīti izdevīgi.
Mēs točna esam nākuši tik tālu. |

Pavļuts arī informēja, ka pēc Lieldienām Veselības ministrija nāks klajā ar priekšlikumiem, kādas priekšrocības un ko drīkst darīt cilvēki, kuriem ir pabeigta vakcinācija pret Covid-19.
Savukārt Slimību profilakses un kontroles centra epidemiologs Jurijs Perevoščikovs savukārt uz ministru jautājumiem par vakcinēto cilvēku iespēju pārnesāt vīrusu skaidroja, ka pašlaik “tas ir atklāts jautājums”.
Tony Blair nesēn:
"I think you will get to the stage where it's going to be very hard for people to do a lot of normal life unless they can prove their vaccination status"
These vaccines are newly developed (approved for emergency use only?). We don't know the long-term effects. Adverse reactions and deaths (on the UK MHRA Yellow Card Scheme) don't get a mention on the BBC etc. They don't apparently stop you from spreading the virus. A virus that has not caused any increase in deaths for most age groups (see tables in my previous posts).
Get jabbed with it or you live with the consequences. Small price to pay for living without restrictions. It's like buying a ticket to travel to Ventspils, or getting your sanitārā grāmatiņa to work in the catering industry.
There is no difference.
Next up, cashless society: won't be long, I predict. If they stuck a thermometer up our collective arse, they'd see we were ready for the 4th Industrial Revolution. |

Draugs (ar PHD, protams) vakar (vai aizvakar) rakstīja FB, ka "Balsot bez potes nevarēs. Izvēle ir tavās rokās." Gan jau viņš teiks, ka tas ir joks, bet nevajag! Redzi, kā valsts stūrmanim ir olas!
Pavluts arī: malacis. Beidzot varam iet uz priekšu uz to gaišo nākotni.

Thin White Rope
"When Thin White Rope visited the Soviet Union in late 1988, the band brought back more than caviar and a photo of the Kremlin. It experienced firsthand the early rumblings of a revolution. Rock 'n' roll imitated life when young Lithuanian rebels went wild at the Rope's shows, even stage-diving with reckless abandon.

It was all but in the open. They had just legalized the Lithuanian flag again, and so people were going around wearing that. We were going around wearing it, too."
Pastāv vēl viena sakritība ar manu veco grupu Ray Speedway and the devils of Pace. Mūsu pēdējais koncerts arī bija Belgijā. Mums Antwerpā 98 - TWR Ghentā 92. We played a set in a punk squat/cultural centre. They smashed the bar up after the gig, and burnt it outside in the drizzle. |

You can always tell a real protest: the signs are all over the place. Free, occasionally; untrammeled and unvarnished. Cliched, of course, here and there, as if we accept our organic matter can be programmed by nodes hither and thither networked and bolstered by, sometimes, ourselves, then what are you going to expect?
Last time I walked those streets in protest it was against the first Gulf War. I'd even gone to pull people out of the lecture halls for it. That's what I was like, then. It was full of the SWP, in general. We ended up outside Downing Street with the Police doing military maneuverings in front of us. It looked as though were too many for the Police to do anything much about it this time. Each time they tried it was as though the march snaking its way through the Capital was electrified, and they'd retract or coalesce around an exposed element.
