Well, that would be a decision he would have to take for himself. If he isn't confident, then, it is not a good idea. He ignored them for a few months, but they got on his case, and he he decided to just get it over with --- having said that, yes, I see where you are coming from - they can always say he turned up for incarceration of his own free will.

BTW, if you may be so generous as to satisfy my selfish inquiry: do they shave the captive's head upon such incarceration? It would suck to get locked up for 10 days and spend the next 5 years just growing your hair back. :D | |
