ojā, tas arī ir viens no most fun pandora papers atklājumiem: south dakota šobrīd ir viena no prominentākajām tax havens.
After a U.S. crackdown on traditional tax havens like Switzerland and the worldwide financial crisis of 2008, a number of countries, including some celebrated tax shelters, decided to adopt a shared reporting system. Now the participating countries are required to report to one another all the assets they hold for the benefit of one another’s people. the U.S. is not a party to the new reporting system — just as it is not a participant in a number of other international institutions.

Ne jau tikai Dienviddakota, bet arī Baidena mājas štats - Delavēra. Šis taču visiem ir zināms. Tas nenozīmē, ka ASV ieņēmumu dienests (IRS) neiekasē naudu no beneficāriem. Pamēģini kaut ko šim IRS neuzrādīt, I dare you. Cita lieta, ka cilvēki ārpus ASV tur var dažādi maskēt savas bagātības - tam piekrītu.

es sapratu, ka ir tieši otrādi, Washington does have its own reporting requirements — but these apply to foreign countries, not U.S. states. The feds, it seems, most definitely want to know what you’re sending to Switzerland, but they don’t have nearly as much interest in what you park at home.
tiesa, šajā aspektā neesmu iedziļinājusies, tikai tik, cik šaja citātā
