Some of the rare cases in printing is when the customer asks the printer to try printing the white color and making it inherent in the design or pictures using white ink. In most cases white ink cannot be printed. In offset printing, the inks used are mostly translucent and it does not therefore cover any dark color even if you tried to do so. Some printing tips suggests an opaque white ink to use but the multiple application required is too expensive that not all those who want to use this have the budget to set aside for this purpose.The style that printers use to ensure the cleanest space available in a print job is to clean the printing press to remove the traces of other ink colors that would put some blemish on the whiteness. Opaque inks, most of the time, are used as an undercoating before applying the other colors on top of it. The other more inexpensive and practical way to offset printing inks and methods is not to use any ink at all. Saves you the trouble also.There are still no desktop printers that can print white ink up to this day. If you want still want to have that effect, there are other printing tips you can research unto to create a near-white effect or some techniques to achieve whiteness in printing. But be prepared if you do not find one that prints white ink. Maybe in the near future, but not just yet.
