nu, mazliet par kosmosu.
šodien lielajā zinātnieku un astronomu sanākšanā beidzot tika izveidota planētas definīcija, saskaņā ar kuru plutons vairs nav planēta. tas ir ļoti forši, protams, to mēs varam izlasīt visur, bet kāda īsti ir tā definīcija?

The IAU published its definition proposal on August 16, 2006. This definition loosely follows the second option considered by the 19-member panel in 2005. This proposal was subsequently revised several times; details on these revisions can be found in the article 2006 redefinition of planet. In its exact wording, the August 16 draft -- which was covered heavily by the media -- was:

“A planet is a celestial body that (a) has sufficient mass for its self-gravity to overcome rigid body forces so that it assumes a hydrostatic equilibrium (nearly round) shape, and (b) is in orbit around a star, and is neither a star nor a satellite of a planet.”
