Fink - Perfect Darkness (2011) [VBR~235kbps]
Youtube: Fink - Yesterday Was Hard On All Of Us
Fink, AKA Fin Greenall, is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer and DJ, born in Cornwall and currently based in Brighton. Since the 2006 release of his Biscuits for Breakfast album, the name Fink has also referred to the recording and touring trio fronted by Greenall himself, completed by Guy Whittaker (bass) and Tim Thornton (drums). Best known for the 2007 song "This is the Thing" and the 2011 album Perfect Darkness, Fink is signed to independent record label Ninja Tune Records. Greenall's skills as a songwriter has created a demand for his talents among fellow artists. Most recently he has written in collaboration with John Legend, Ximena Sarinana and Professor Green. With Amy Winehouse he co-wrote the song "Half Time", which appears on Winehouse's posthumous collection Lioness: Hidden Treasures."

P.S. Ja kāds vēl nav dzirdējis Fink pirmo albumu Biscuits for Breakfast, tad - highly recommended. Ja nevari atrast, let me know, mēģināšu sadabūt rokā, ielikšu te.

[music |Howlin' Wolf - Wang Dang Doodle]

Howlin’ Wolf (1910-1976) was a U.S. blues musician.

Born Chester Arthur Burnett on 10thJune 1910 in White Station near West Point, Mississippi, he was nicknamed “Big Foot Chester” and “Bull Cow” in his early years, and he explained the origin of the name “Howlin’ Wolf” thus: “I got that from my grandfather. He used to tell me stories about the wolves in that part of the country.”

He survived a grim childhood and youth as a sharecropper in Mississippi. He began his career by playing and singing with the first Delta blues stars for two decades in juke joints. He was present at the birth of rock ‘n’ roll in Memphis, where Sam Phillips - who also discovered Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, and Jerry Lee Lewis - called Wolf his “greatest discovery”. Wolf helped define the sound of electric blues and vied with rival Muddy Waters as the king of Chicago blues. He ended his career performing and recording with the world’s most famous rock stars. His passion for music kept him performing - despite devastating physical problems - right up to his death on 10th January 1976.

John Lee Hooker [Jun. 26th, 2008|11:56 am]

Piedāvāju divus izcilus bugī un "lieveņa blūza" leģendas Džona Lī Hūkera koncertierakstus. Viens solo, otrs ar Muddy Waters pavadošo grupu.

John Lee Hooker - Live At Sugar Hill Vol. 2 (1962) @160kbps

(19 dziesmas, kuras netika iekļautas 1963.gadā izdotajā un vairs neatrodamajā albumā "Live at Sugar Hill". Solokoncerts, kurā Hūkers aizvēsturiskā balsī izpilda tradicionālās blūza dziesmas, vien reizumis iestarpinot kādu savu sacerējumu. allmusic.com saka: "These tracks are hands down some of the sexiest, deepest blues John Lee Hooker ever recorded. Accompanied only by his hollow-bodied electric guitar and his foot on the floor, Hooker takes listeners through a performance so intimate that you wonder if there was an audience present. In addition to the stellar performances, Hooker's guitar playing here is perhaps the finest of his career.")

Part 2

John Lee Hooker - Live At The Cafe Au Go-Go (And Soledad Prison) (1966) @256-320kbps

(Šeit viņu pavada Muddy Waters ar grupu (klavišņiks Otiss Spanns, ermoņikas spēlmanis Džordžs Smits, bundzinieks Frēnsiss Klejs, ģitāristi Semijs Lauhorns un Luters Džonsons). Labākais bugī, kādu mums jebkad būs iespēja dzirdēt. amazon.com saka: "Simply one of the greatest live blues recordings ever. All are at the height of their abilities, but it's Hooker who works like a hoodoo conjurer. His guitar and baritone singing sink to rarely heard depths of the blues--that secret place in the music where it becomes an elemental force.")
