- Violent clashes continue between loyalists and rebels in Syria, and the Syrian regime is continuing to fire artillery on Turkey, testing the patience of the Turkish government. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon spoke about the “dire consequences” of the escalation of violence on the Turkish-Syrian border. The situation in Syria has reached “catastrophic dimensions”, according to Mr Ban. Turkey's President, Abdullah Gul urged the international community to act and said Turkey would continue to do everything necessary to protect its borders.
In an interview with Al Jazeera reported by Luxembourg’s press, a staff members of Basha al-Assad’s Media Office, Abdullah al-Omar, claimed the Assad regime knows it cannot hold onto power and has already made plans to escape to Russia while Putin prepares 300 apartments for regime leaders, according to the source. - 3 rakstair doma

to, kāpēc viņi aiztiek Turciju gan es nesaprotu - Turcijai šķiet bija otrā lielākā NATO armija, pie tam labi norūdīta visu laiku kurdus trenkājot pa valsts austrumiem.
