Sakarā ar karalienes vizīti Rīgā starptautiskā dzīvnieku aizsardzības organizācija PETA vēlas 17. oktobrī pie Britu vēstniecības paveikt šādu pasākumu

PETA would like to call on you for support! In light of the Queens
upcoming visit to the Baltic's, we would like to stage a demonstration
at the British Embassy in Riga on the day before she arrives; to remind
the Queen that bears are not fabric, and she should not allow them to be
killed in Canada to make her guards ceremonial caps
.

For years, PETA have been campaigning to persuade the Queen and the
British Ministry of Defence to stop killing bears for the ceremonial
caps - bears are shot several times before they die in agony in the
woods in Canada. In this day and age with all of the beautiful synthetic
modern materials available; there is no excuse to continue to kill bears
for an ornamental cap. Please see here: www.unbearablecruelty.co.uk for
more information.

We would like to call on you to help us with this demo on Tuesday the
17th October - the idea is to have one person dressed as a cute 'bear'
- http://www.unbearablecruelty.co.uk/campaign.asp and have other
activists holding signs around him; while his sign asks the Queen for a
royal pardon, so that she may save his skin! It is a very fun demo; but
with a serious message that will hopefully make its way to the Queen on
her visit the next day.

We need volunteers to dress as the bear for one hour, activists who are
knowledgeable with press; and lots of activists to hold placards!

Please let me know as soon as possible, by replying to this email as to
whether you will be able to assist with this very important
demonstration.

I eagerly look forward to hearing from you!

For the bears and all animals,

Sincerely,

Anita Singh
