Waking dawn bursts through my mind
With eyes that burn of unshed tears
I see the world in murky covers

Much time has passed in bleeding numbers
Bunched up emotions spilling fears
Unseen the chasm still retches

The ether’s filled with screams of anguish
Ignored by sounds of uncouth jeers
To fell belief in slimy blunder

I have an itch
to make a stich
patch up the gap
get rid of the crap

My dream of soft down clouds
It came to me last night

Lying on a bed of mine
My eyes did close to shut out light

In bliss I slept without a fight
To rest was not my test

My one and only plight
I must get up to start the day

Of angels and demons we pray

For our wings were taken away

In this world we all must stay

Fallen into missery we slay
